The atmosphere was subdued when I looked in one weekend afternoon; chalk it up to big German food.
Big German beer selection, too, which I sampled sparingly, only enough to wash down my sauerbraten sandwich ($9), on a kaiser roll, mit fries. It's a very sturdy sandwich, let's call it; the full contents of that gravy boat were an additional, essential lubricant.
