In theory, you could ask for an open-faced oblea.
But as with doubles, that request would get you a funny look. In practice, an order of obleas ($1.50) consists of two wafers that sandwich a thin spread of dulce de leche. The wafers, likely made with wheat flour, are stamped with a cute image that must be the hallmark of the manufacturer. On location, I was too occupied to identify it; at home, I stared at my photos for some time before I got the picture.
In the photo at top, note also the orange discs at the vendor's right hand (click for a closer look); they're used as the platform for solteritas.
