Jovino's is the John Jovino Gun Shop, established 1911; that's the police-supply store's famous sign, with the oversized hanging revolver, in the right background. Fasullo's has done business at San Gennaro, on this very corner, for little more than a half-century — Johnny's grandson Glenn mans the charcoal grill nowadays — but its customers are just as true blue. Figuratively, of course: No uniforms hopped the line in the 25 minutes I waited, but plenty of fellows (especially the early arrivals, not in frame) wore a look that said, I can handle you, pal, just as easy as this bracciole, or this sausage (lunch special sandwich, $6.00).
