Breezy Hill is best-known for apples (and hot apple cider, below); its sister enterprises Stone Ridge Orchard and Knoll Crest Farm are cut from similar cloth. But recently the Dutchess County-based orchard added a mini-menu of tamales and pozole, courtesy of several workers who hail from the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca. Fittingly, Breezy Hill has also expanded beyond the Greenmarket circuit and introduced these new items at East Harlem's historic La Marqueta. Shown: a chicken molé tamale ($4) made with organic corn meal, chicken, olive oil (intended as a healthier alternative to lard), and a mild molé.
