Not me — the fellow who sat down at the counter, one stool over, and provoked a chuckle from the waitress with his request. I thought of the arroz moro, the white-rice-black-bean side dish to my lechon asado (Saturday lunch special, $11), but the waitress immediately pointed out tiny pieces of pork. (I had yet to dig in.) Unless the fellow was willing to make a meal out of maduros, my other accompaniment, there weren't many prospects on the traditional Cuban menu. This was brunchtime; eventually they fixed him up with pancakes.
