I'd come across bandung, the pinkish "rose syrup milk drink," on previous refreshment breaks, but this stall's second item, selasih, looked like something new. Now, perhaps your knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is no less spotty than mine, but perhaps too you would have been quicker to spot the many little seeds held in suspension.
Selasih (S$1.50, about US$1.35 at the time) is another name for a basil-seed beverage — also an oldie, but a goodie — though most I've tried had a murky yellowish cast. If I'm not mistaken, selasih, too, is tinged with a little rose syrup.
