In common with many ice kachang vendors, Annie's prepares a variety of cold desserts; the nearly obscured window gives some idea.
Cheng tng (S$1.50, about US$1.20 at the time) is a clear dessert soup featuring ingredients like sweet potato, barley, stewed ginkgo nuts, white fungus, dried longans, and, inevitably, one or two items that thwart easy identification. Also served hot, if you prefer.
