Did that stout maroon volume weigh in on the judicious addition of hot sauce to bacon, egg, and hash ($7), or the heft of potato in a tortilla Española ($4), or a fit number of blueberries to enliven peach upside-down cake (special, $3)? Possibly; je ne lis pas bien le français. The unprompted refills of my coffee ($1.50), however, were strictly old-school. Also shown: fois gras poutine ($10) from a guest appearance at Smorgasburg.
