Sure, the food and the music aren't a match for what you'll find in New Orleans during JazzFest, but you can do it as a day trip. Shown: a crawfish platter ($10) and a mudbug closeup; grilled oysters (six for $10); a perhaps overly dressed catfish po' boy ($10); a slice of chocolate-pudding-striped, buttercream-and-chocolate-fondant-covered doberge cake ($4); a crunchier-than-ideal snoball ($5) split between strawberry and lemon; fresh beignets (three for $5).
