Most distinctive restaurant door handles are sculpted forms that invite you to take hold. They may evoke fish, or fowl, or a single significant letter, or an overall theme. (On rare occasion, particularly evocative fixtures are retained even when the character of the restaurant, and the menu, are turned upside-down, say, from Cajun to Scandinavian.)
The door handle shown here employs negative space; the featured menu item is depicted by its absence. This approach is much less common, since few foods are easily identified in silhouette. Folks who follow me on Foursquare already know how the negative space in my stomach was filled, and where; can anyone else name this restaurant? (Please post your answer online, in the comments.)
