The warm filling of this tapioca crepe ($5), a reduction of sweet-tart guava paste married to salty Minas cheese, is known in Brazil as "Romeo and Juliet." Which is which, I'm not sure anyone can say for sure — that they're meant for each other is the message.
Below: an Afghan-Greek-Brazilian kafta tzatziki crepe ($10) offered a weighty, savory alternative. As you'd imagine, a thicker wrap is sturdier and more substantial, but a thinner one, if you have any say in the matter, gives more play to the fillings. At bottom: Afghan spiced tea, decked out with vanilla ice cream, as a chai float ($6).
