Alas, mach-er-paturi — Kolkata-style marinated fish steamed in banana leaves — had been 86'ed on my visit to this Indian restaurant. (I had hoped for something along the lines of this Kachin-style banana-leaf bundle, perhaps with a distinct filet.) Into the breach: bhel puri, garlic naan, butter chicken, and saffron ras malai.
