My friend Jenny, who first told me of this food bazaar, got a good LOL when I messaged her afterward, thinking that I'd misheard the name "horseshoe" leaf salad (first photo; shown untossed). That's the direct translation, Jenny explained, from the Burmese "myin-kwa," which describes the shape of the leaf. The more common English name is pennywort.
